Associate Director of Logistics – UK & Ireland

About the role

As the Associate Director of Logistics for the UK and Ireland, you will own the end‑to‑end logistics function, driving efficiency, service excellence and cost optimisation across the region. Reporting to the European Logistics Director, you will sit on the UK&IE senior management team and act as the senior logistics point of contact globally.

Key responsibilities

• Manage senior relationships with the three‑party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure best‑in‑class delivery experiences.
• Optimise carrier mix, balancing cost and service levels while monitoring core metrics such as on‑time delivery, cost per order and labour minutes per box.
• Lead strategic crisis‑management and risk‑mitigation projects to minimise service disruption.
• Provide full P&L ownership for UK and Ireland logistics, including 3PL contracts, middle‑ and final‑mile transport and overheads.
• Drive continuous improvement of employee engagement and foster a high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with production, marketing and global logistics teams across Europe, the US and ANZ.
• Identify and onboard new carrier partners based on performance, capability and cost‑effectiveness.
• Use data and AI tools to reduce delivery errors and automate manual tasks.
• Set and execute yearly logistics OKRs aligned with the broader business plan.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with national B2C carriers or logistics providers.
• Proven contract‑management experience, negotiating terms with third parties.
• Demonstrated P&L ownership and ability to meet or exceed budget targets.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high‑performing teams.
• Excellent analytical mindset, comfortable using data to drive decisions.
