Associate Director – Planning for Flagship Neuroscience Centre

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, forward‑thinking Associate Director to lead the planning and project‑controls function for a flagship transnational neuroscience centre in central London. The role will drive integrated project planning, support multidisciplinary delivery, and ensure alignment with time, cost and quality objectives for this high‑profile healthcare and research development.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the master schedule from pre‑construction through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Develop and maintain fully integrated, resource‑loaded programmes using Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject and MS Project.
• Drive earned‑value management and programme performance tracking across all workstreams.
• Lead risk‑based schedule assessments, including time‑impact analyses, to inform mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with project leadership, commercial teams, designers and subcontractors to preserve programme integrity.
• Provide clear, data‑driven reporting to technical, operational and executive stakeholders.
• Mentor junior planners and embed best‑practice planning processes across the team.

Required profile

• Significant experience in planning and project controls for large‑scale capital developments.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a complex, high‑visibility environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
