Associate Director - PR and Communications

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Director to join our fast‑growing Bristol PR agency on a three‑day‑a‑week basis (flexible to four days for the right candidate). You will combine strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery, shaping high‑profile tech and crisis communications programmes for a portfolio of demanding clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of integrated communications strategies across PR, insight, creative, social, public affairs and employee engagement.
• Own key client accounts, act as trusted counsel and manage day‑to‑day campaign delivery from brief to evaluation.
• Drive commercial performance by generating new business opportunities and expanding existing relationships.
• Pitch ideas, present to senior stakeholders, journalists and board members, and secure award entries.
• Oversee crisis and issues management, thought‑leadership and executive profiling programmes.

Required profile

• Senior PR and communications professional with a strong track record in tech, B2B and crisis communications.
• Strategic thinker who also enjoys hands‑on execution and team development.
• Established network of potential clients and proven ability to convert relationships into revenue.
• Comfortable navigating complex reputational challenges and enterprise buying cycles.
