Associate Director – Restructuring & Insolvency

About the role

The Complex & International Restructuring (CII) team in London is seeking an Associate Director to lead high‑profile restructuring and insolvency engagements for large, multi‑jurisdictional clients. You will work alongside experienced professionals to deliver practical solutions and strategic advice in complex, cross‑border situations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to engagement teams of 3‑6 members on insolvency and restructuring advisory assignments.
• Conduct contingency planning, options analysis, cash and liquidity reviews, and develop restructuring plans.
• Assess business performance, identify restructuring options and propose innovative solutions, including formal insolvency routes where appropriate.
• Perform detailed financial and commercial analysis to underpin client recommendations.
• Manage engagements against scope, timeline, quality and budget in line with Interpath standards.
• Build trusted relationships with senior management, executives, lawyers, banks and other lenders.
• Act as day‑to‑day client lead, reporting progress to engagement leaders and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in insolvency and restructuring advisory work.
• Ability to lead small to medium‑sized teams and manage complex projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with expertise in financial and commercial assessment.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including interaction with senior executives and financial institutions.
• Comfort operating in fast‑moving, multi‑jurisdictional environments.
