About the role

We are seeking an Associate Director to lead town planning projects for a respected consultancy in Newcastle. The role offers hybrid working, a competitive salary up to £50,000 and exposure to a varied portfolio including green infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and manage town planning applications and appeals from early advice through to determination.
• Advise clients on planning strategy and sustainable development opportunities.
• Support and mentor junior staff on project delivery.
• Contribute to business development and client relationship management.
• Collaborate on green infrastructure and other sustainability‑focused projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in town planning within a consultancy or similar environment.
• Strong track record of managing planning applications and client relationships.
• Commercially minded with the ability to provide clear, practical advice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest or experience in green infrastructure and sustainable development.
