Associate Engineering Geologist

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Engineering Geologist to join a leading geotechnical and geo‑environmental consultancy in Exeter. The role focuses on cliff stabilisation and rock‑slope projects, delivering safe and innovative ground‑engineering solutions for infrastructure and development sites.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct cliff stabilisation and rock‑slope assessments.
• Manage rockfall risk and coastal stability investigations.
• Perform site inspections and ground investigations.
• Prepare technical reports and engineering recommendations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support business development activities and lead junior team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering or ground remediation.
• Knowledge of slope stability, rock engineering or cliff stabilisation techniques.
• Strong technical reporting and communication abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Residence within a reasonable commute to Exeter.
