Associate Enterprise Architect

About the role

As an Associate Enterprise Architect at GCHQ, you will work alongside senior architects to develop and deliver the agency’s enterprise architecture. You will translate organisational goals into actionable strategies, lead design initiatives and help ensure technology, data and process environments support mission‑critical work.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with delivery teams and stakeholders to create architectural designs and documentation.
• Identify risks, constraints and optimisation opportunities across technology, data and processes.
• Support the alignment of solutions with organisational strategies and business needs.
• Work with other architects, engineers, project managers and delivery leads across GCHQ.
• Occasionally liaise with external suppliers and partners and travel to UK sites as required.

Required profile

• Practical experience as an Associate Enterprise Architect or in a comparable architectural role.
• Strong commitment to GCHQ’s mission to protect the UK from cyber‑threats, terrorism and espionage.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and adapt to a sensitive, security‑focused environment.
