Associate Manager - Immunology

About the role

IQVIA Laboratories' Central Laboratory Service is looking for an Associate Manager for Immunology in Livingston. The role supervises a team of lab staff, sets day-to-day operational activities and works under the mentorship of management to hire, train and manage staff performance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of assigned laboratory work groups through delegation, technical training and supervision, and meet regularly with staff and senior management on workload and technical issues.
• Ensure the team follows safety guidelines, drive individual accountability for safety and identify improvements.
• Review laboratory metrics, set additional ones such as cost savings linked to process improvement, and ensure policies and procedures are understood and followed.
• Ensure timely resolution of CAPA and quality incidents, quality and compliance metrics, root cause analysis and improvement.
• Assist in establishing and revising laboratory policies and procedures, maintain quality assurance procedures and ensure compliance with safety requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a human biology-based science.
• 4 years of relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or clinical trials environment (immunology-based).
• Experience in technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LIMS and other laboratory data systems.
• Familiarity with CAPA processes and quality systems.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data, coordinate multiple tasks and write scientific and technical documents.
• Understanding of LEAN Six Sigma principles.
