Associate - Nuclear Assurance and Regulation

About the role

Amentum is recruiting experienced nuclear professionals for Associate roles within its Independent Assurance and Regulation (IA&R) practice. The work covers projects and long-term programmes in nuclear safety, assurance and regulation, and is flexible: hours are agreed on an ongoing basis with no fixed or minimum hours, and the role can be home-based or based at one of the UK offices.

Required profile

• Track record in the nuclear civil or defence sector, for example in nuclear safety, assurance, regulation and environment.
• Demonstrable experience in civil or defence nuclear.
• Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline such as engineering, physics or chemistry.
• Security clearance in the UK, or ability to obtain it.
• Desirable: direct engagement with regulators, licensees or duty holders.

Required skills

• Good understanding of nuclear regulation, associated standards and guidance.
• Excellent communication, report writing and analytical skills.
• Stakeholder and client engagement, advising and influencing.
