Associate Professor or Professor of Anatomy (Medical School)

About the role

Join the founding academic team at St Mary’s School of Medicine and lead the development and delivery of anatomy teaching for a new MBBS programme. You will coordinate lectures, workshops and digital anatomy sessions, ensuring alignment with GMC standards and contributing to a values‑led medical curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver anatomy curriculum across lectures, practical workshops and digital sessions using Anatomage.
• Coordinate teaching activities and ensure compliance with GMC standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate anatomy with other components of the MBBS programme.
• Contribute to strategic leadership areas such as Student Selected Components, Digital Health & AI, or Academic Tutoring.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• FHEA (Fellowship of Advance HE) or willingness to obtain it.
• Relevant teaching qualification (PGCHE) or willingness to work towards it.
• Post‑graduate qualification in a relevant subject.
• Proven experience designing and delivering anatomy teaching in higher education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and collaborative work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Anatomage or similar digital anatomy platforms.
