Associate Project Manager – Onshore Wind

About the role

Vattenfall is looking for an Associate Project Manager to support the development of onshore wind projects across England and Scotland. You will work with experienced colleagues and external partners to move projects from concept to investment decision, contributing directly to the UK energy transition.

Key responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in delivering key milestones during the development phase.
• Maintain project documentation, including timelines, risk registers, budgets and stakeholder plans.
• Take ownership of specific workstreams such as stakeholder engagement, ecological surveys or design coordination.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure alignment across project phases.
• Engage with landowners, public officials and local communities throughout the development process.
• Promote a safe and structured way of working within project teams.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, environmental science or a related field.
• Approximately 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in infrastructure, energy or development projects.
• Solid understanding of basic project‑management principles.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Comfortable engaging with engineers, consultants and local communities.
• Structured approach to handling documentation, timelines and data.
• Willingness to learn and develop new areas of expertise.
