Associate – Restructuring (Private Credit Fund) – London

About the role

This Associate position supports a leading European private credit fund in London, focusing on restructuring and special situations across its direct‑lending portfolio. You will work on complex, under‑performing credit investments, helping to preserve value and drive turnaround strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess under‑performing credit assets and develop tailored financial solutions.
• Support restructuring and liability‑management processes, coordinating with internal legal, investment and portfolio teams.
• Collaborate with portfolio company management, sponsors and external advisers to design and implement turnaround plans.
• Engage in operational restructuring initiatives for a select group of directly owned assets.

Required profile

• Strong experience in operational restructuring advisory, special situations, consultancy or operational roles within private equity.
• Proven track record of involvement in restructuring processes and complex credit situations.
• Excellent financial analysis capability and commercial judgement.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with multiple workstreams.
• Effective communicator able to work with both internal and external stakeholders.
