Associate/Director Building Surveyor – Glasgow

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in Glasgow. The role offers exposure to a diverse portfolio of heritage, commercial, healthcare and education projects while supporting senior surveyors and project managers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out condition surveys, defect diagnosis and produce asset management reports.
• Support dilapidation assessments and manage party wall matters.
• Prepare technical documentation and assist with contract administration under JCT and NEC frameworks.
• Work on refurbishment and improvement projects, ensuring compliance with sustainability and safety standards.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to deliver clear, professional advice.

Required profile

• Degree in Building Surveying or a closely related discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn from senior professionals.
• Interest in sustainability and modern building practices.
