Attendance Administrator – Secondary School (Part‑time)

About the role

This part‑time position supports a busy secondary school on the Wirral by managing daily attendance records and safeguarding processes. Working Tuesday to Friday during term time, you will ensure accurate data collection and help the school monitor pupil attendance trends.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update daily attendance registers with precision.
• Monitor patterns of absences, lateness, and early departures.
• Follow up on unexplained absences and secure required documentation.
• Identify attendance trends and flag concerns to senior staff.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies as needed.

Required profile

• Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Arbor attendance software (essential).
• Confidence using standard computer systems and attendance tools.
