Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer

About the role

The Audio Visual Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for programming, commissioning and maintaining AV systems that meet client specifications. Working closely with project management and engineering teams, the role blends in‑house development with on‑site implementation to ensure seamless integration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and test control system programs on platforms such as Crestron, Q‑Sys and Extron.
• Commission and test AV systems both in‑house and on‑site to verify performance.
• Integrate AV solutions with existing infrastructure (lighting, HVAC, networking, etc.).
• Produce AVIT schedules and detailed documentation for programmed and commissioned systems.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers, including design evaluation and performance optimisation.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely and on‑site.
• Deliver client training on operation and maintenance of AV equipment.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging AV technologies, programming languages and industry standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience programming and configuring AV control systems (Crestron, Q‑Sys, Extron, AMX or similar).
• Proficiency in programming languages used in AV control (C++, Python, HTML, C#, JavaScript).
• Experience with audio DSP configuration (QSC, Biamp, Extron).
• Strong problem‑solving ability and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols relevant to AV systems.
