Audit and Accounts Senior / Semi‑Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Audit and Accounts Senior or Semi‑Senior to join our growing chartered accountancy practice in the Esher/Epsom area. You will support managers, supervisors and directors on statutory audits, accounts preparation and management‑account services while developing your own technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver audit and accounts assignments in line with client manager or partner instructions.
• Carry out statutory audit work and prepare statutory accounts.
• Supervise junior staff, review their work and provide guidance.
• Produce and deliver working schedules to the assignment manager or partner on time.
• Maintain clear communication with clients throughout the engagement.

Required profile

• ACCA or ICAEW qualified, or part‑qualified, with 1‑3 years of in‑practice experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in owner‑managed businesses and good commercial awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
• Professional, courteous attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with financial reporting standards.
• Experience of statutory audit.
• Statutory tax knowledge.
• Management accounting and VAT reporting.
• Bookkeeping experience.
