Audit Assistant Manager

About the role

Our client, a respected accountancy practice, is looking for a driven and ambitious qualified Audit Assistant Manager to join their senior leadership team. You will support a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, regularly visiting client sites to carry out audit activities and ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and support pre‑audit and post‑audit meetings, maintaining regular client contact.
• Design, plan and lead audits from start to finish, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with qualified and part‑qualified accountants/auditors to deliver audits on time.
• Monitor and control audit budgets, guaranteeing projects are completed within scope and schedule.
• Contribute to firm growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective ones.
• Manage audit assignments and onsite team members, providing guidance and mentorship.

Required profile

• Qualified auditor with a strong technical foundation and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build client relationships quickly.
• Team player who can mentor junior staff and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Self‑starter with a proactive, problem‑solving attitude and the drive to see projects through to completion.
