Audit Director – Senior Role in Bristol

About the role

Pro-Finance, a Top‑10 UK accountancy and business advisory firm, is looking for an experienced Audit Director to join its Bristol office. You will lead complex audit engagements, manage a diverse client portfolio and contribute to the strategic growth of the audit function.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end audit process, from planning and budgeting to delivery.
• Oversee large, technically complex client engagements and ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
• Analyse intricate business situations, identify key issues and provide strategic advice to owners and managers.
• Build and maintain long‑term trusted relationships with clients across multiple sectors.
• Coach, mentor and develop audit team members, supporting the growth of junior staff and future leaders.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CA (or equivalent) qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Proven experience managing a large, varied audit client portfolio.
• Leadership experience, including coaching and mentoring teams.
• Commercial awareness and excellent client relationship management skills.
