Audit Executive

About the role

We are seeking a newly qualified Audit Executive to join a leading auditing team in Colchester. You will work with a diverse client base, ranging from owner‑managed businesses to multinational organisations and charities, delivering high‑quality audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality audit work across a variety of assignments, developing technical expertise.
• Identify and address key risks, consulting specialists when required.
• Build strong client relationships and provide practical, tailored advice aligned with business goals.
• Contribute to service improvement through planning, research, and effective use of technology.
• Support team development by spotting improvement areas and offering guidance or training.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification – newly qualified or in the final stage.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing, financial reporting standards and compliance, with awareness of risk and regulatory requirements.
• Commercial awareness and analytical skills, able to assess financial projections and generate client‑focused ideas.
• Collaborative, proactive mindset with excellent communication and time‑management abilities.
