Audit Manager – Chartered Accountancy Practice

About the role

We are supporting a well‑established chartered accountancy practice in Tonbridge that is looking for an Audit Manager. You will manage a diverse client portfolio that includes companies, charities, and personal tax matters, while working closely with partners and a team of managers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver audit and accounts assignments for a mixed portfolio of clients.
• Lead large and complex engagements and review statutory accounts and corporate tax computations.
• Supervise and review the work of junior staff throughout the audit process.
• Prepare audit files for partner review and ensure timely delivery.
• Identify cross‑selling opportunities and manage client communications effectively.
• Monitor chargeability and assignment budgets proactively.
• Coach and mentor staff, contributing to training and development programmes.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, with post‑qualification experience or qualified by experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and practical experience applying audit standards.
• Experience preparing group accounts; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Background working with both not‑for‑profit and corporate clients is advantageous.
