Audit Manager – Guildford (£60k-£75k) – Hybrid & Flexible

About the role

The client, a leading accountancy practice in the South East, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead a diverse audit portfolio in Guildford. This is a genuine management position with responsibility for client relationships, team leadership and end‑to‑end delivery of audit assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied and technically interesting audit portfolio from planning through to completion.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, including large regional businesses, charities and international groups.
• Lead, mentor and develop audit team members, from newly qualified staff to senior auditors.
• Oversee workflow, planning and review processes to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.
• Support partners on complex assignments and contribute to business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA, ICAS, ACCA, SAICA or equivalent.
• Experience within a UK accountancy practice, preferably from a Top 20/50 firm or a strong independent practice.
• Proven audit technical knowledge and previous people‑management responsibility.
• Ability to manage client relationships across larger businesses and groups.
