Audit Manager

About the role

Join a respected chartered accountancy firm serving clients across Surrey, South West London and Central London. As an Audit Manager you will own a diverse audit portfolio, guiding engagements from planning through to completion and acting as the primary client contact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage statutory audits from planning through to completion (approximately 90% of the role).
• Review audit files to ensure compliance with UK auditing standards and Clarity ISAs.
• Manage audit budgets, timelines and overall engagement delivery.
• Identify audit issues and provide practical, commercial recommendations.
• Supervise, coach and develop junior audit team members.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation and other compliance work as needed (approximately 10% of the role).

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with strong external audit experience in a UK practice.
• Proven experience leading audits through to completion.
• Up‑to‑date technical knowledge of Clarity ISAs and UK GAAP.
• Experience supervising and developing junior team members.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Self‑motivated, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines.
