Audit Semi Senior – Leeds

About the role

In this Audit Semi Senior role you will support the delivery of high‑quality audit engagements, carrying out testing, preparing financial statements and assisting with planning and completion work. You will develop strong technical and client‑facing skills while working closely with senior team members across a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, execution and completion of audit engagements for a range of clients.
• Perform audit testing across financial statement areas and document audit evidence.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
• Support the team in identifying audit risks and recommending improvements.
• Build and maintain effective client relationships, delivering professional service.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with Audit Seniors, Managers and Partners to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or newly qualified ACA / ACCA.
• Previous experience in external audit within a UK accountancy firm.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and auditing standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Proactive approach and willingness to learn.
