Audit Semi Senior – Newcastle

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Semi Senior to join our client’s Newcastle office. The role involves supporting audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of UK companies while developing your professional qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering audit assignments for a varied client base.
• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies.
• Support audit fieldwork and completion activities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high‑quality service.
• Ensure work is accurate, efficient and complies with professional standards.
• Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to team success.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an audit department.
• Experience preparing accounts for limited companies.
• Knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards (FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A, UK GAAP).
• Currently studying towards ACA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong communication, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
