Audit Senior – Accountancy Practice in High Wycombe

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a growing accountancy practice in High Wycombe. You will take ownership of audit assignments, work closely with managers and partners, and develop strong client relationships while supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete audit engagements from start to finish.
• Perform detailed fieldwork, including substantive testing and analytical procedures.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
• Identify risks, technical issues and flag matters for senior review.
• Maintain accurate audit files with clear supporting documentation.
• Build trusted client relationships and act as a primary point of contact.
• Mentor and support junior audit staff.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CA qualified or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in an audit‑focused role.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience managing audit assignments across multiple sectors.
• Excellent communication skills with clients and internal stakeholders.
