Audit Senior Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Senior Associate to join a respected accountancy firm in Reading. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, manage audit engagements and support the development of junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for clients, anticipating needs and communicating effectively.
• Assist in planning, executing and finalising audit assignments, managing risk throughout.
• Prepare work papers for review by team leaders, managers and partners.
• Identify business process improvements and contribute to audit findings reports.
• Monitor audit budgets and explain variances to managers.
• Travel to client sites outside Reading to support other offices when required.
• Coach and guide junior staff members.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA.
• Significant audit and accounting experience within a UK practice environment.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience in corporate audit; exposure to non‑profit or pensions audit is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to client sites.
