Audit Senior – Chartered Accountants (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are seeking an ACA or ACCA qualified Audit Senior to lead audit assignments from planning through to completion for a diverse client portfolio in Edinburgh. This permanent position offers a clear progression route towards Assistant Manager within a respected Scottish chartered accountancy firm.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning to finalisation across multiple sectors.
• Prepare and review audit documentation to ensure high technical standards.
• Supervise and coach junior audit team members.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to managers and partners.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or close to qualification.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a UK practice environment.
• Proven track record of leading audit assignments and managing junior staff.
• Strong knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting frameworks.
• Confident client‑facing manner with excellent organisational skills.
