Audit Senior – Hybrid Role in Plymouth

About the role

Pro-Finance, a top‑10 accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its growing team in Plymouth. This hybrid position offers the chance to lead client engagements, deepen technical expertise, and advance your career within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Manage audit budgets and monitor progress against timelines.
• Review financial statements for compliance with accounting and auditing standards.
• Assess internal controls, identify audit risks, and document findings.
• Supervise, coach, and develop junior team members.
• Communicate effectively with clients and build strong relationships.
• Conduct audit planning, progress, and completion meetings.
• Identify opportunities to improve audit quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification (or finalist).
• Previous experience in Audit & Assurance within a practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, auditing standards and Companies Act requirements.
• Proven ability to lead audits and manage client relationships.
• Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to handle multiple assignments.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and continuous improvement mindset.
