Audit Senior

About the role

We are looking for an Audit Senior to lead audit assignments for a mix of commercial and charity clients. You will take ownership from planning through to completion, ensuring high‑quality work and strong client relationships in a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements from planning to final sign‑off for commercial and charitable organisations.
• Prepare clear, complete and well‑organised audit files and documentation.
• Review client records, analyse accounting data and provide practical recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal methodology and risk‑management expectations.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact.
• Support and develop junior team members, fostering confidence and technical ability.
• Prepare and review accounts, tax filings, VAT submissions and PAYE documents.
• Manage workload to meet deadlines and deliver accurate, timely work.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA); part‑qualified candidates considered with relevant experience.
• Strong UK audit experience gained within a practice environment.
• Proven experience overseeing, coaching and supporting junior staff.
• Excellent communication skills and a client‑focused attitude.
• Motivated, dependable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
