Audit Senior

About the role

This is a full‑time Audit Senior position within a growing chartered accountancy practice in Maidstone. The role offers a blend of audit and general accounting work, supporting professional development while maintaining a balanced lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and complete audit engagements for clients across multiple sectors.
• Lead audit teams, manage timelines, resources and budgets.
• Develop tailored audit approaches based on each client’s financial structure.
• Mentor and review the work of junior staff and trainees.
• Maintain compliance with current audit legislation and standards.
• Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the audit process, addressing queries and providing financial insights.
• Identify and communicate significant commercial and financial risks.

Required profile

• Recently qualified or nearing completion of ACA or ACCA.
• Minimum two years of practical audit experience.
• Experience supervising audit processes is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting and audit practices.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
