Audit Senior – Preston

About the role

We are partnering with a progressive accountancy firm in Preston that is looking for an Audit Senior to take ownership of audit engagements and drive client relationships. This role offers a clear pathway to advancement for an ACA/ACCA qualified professional seeking greater responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Take charge of audit assignments from planning through to completion, overseeing budgets, timelines, fieldwork and final reporting across a varied client base.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted adviser.
• Review work and guide junior team members, helping them develop audit and accounts skills.
• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies.
• Ensure all assignments are delivered efficiently, accurately and to a high technical standard.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified (or nearly qualified).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience within an accountancy practice.
• Solid understanding of UK audit and accounting standards.
• Confident leading audits and managing client relationships.
• Full UK driving licence.
