Audit Senior – Professional Services

About the role

The Audit Senior will join a well‑established accountancy practice in Maidstone, delivering high‑quality audit services to a range of professional services clients. This permanent, hybrid position is ideal for a finance professional with strong technical knowledge and a client‑focused mindset.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and finalise audits for a diverse portfolio of professional services clients.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with regulatory standards.
• Identify and resolve audit issues efficiently, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.
• Communicate with clients to understand requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and support.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting and auditing standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or near qualified) with strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Proven experience conducting audits within the professional services industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive problem‑solving approach with strong attention to detail.
