Audit Senior – Qualified ACA/ACCA – Cheltenham

About the role

This is a senior audit position within a fast‑growing Top30 accountancy practice serving SME and OMB‑sized corporate clients. The role is split roughly 80% audit work and 20% accounts/tax work, reporting to an Audit Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a variety of audit assignments across multiple industry sectors.
• Prepare audit files, undertake audit planning and support juniors during fieldwork.
• Ensure end‑to‑end audit assignments are completed to a high standard, on time and within budget.
• Supervise and review work performed by graduate‑level audit staff.
• Use accounting software to produce accurate reports for managers, directors and clients.
• Assist with corporate tax computations for small limited companies and partnerships.
• Collaborate with the Outsourcing team to finalise year‑end accounts under the Audit Director’s supervision.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical audit knowledge and fulfil CPD requirements.

Required profile

• Qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
• 2‑5+ years of external audit experience with SME/OMB‑size businesses, preferably in a Top100 or regional accountancy firm.
• Proven ability to work in a team on multiple audit clients, build client relationships and meet strict audit deadlines.
