About the role
We are a leading Top 20 accountancy firm seeking an Audit Senior to join our technology‑driven audit team in the North East. You will work with a diverse client base, mentor junior staff and help deliver high‑quality statutory audits.
Key responsibilities
- Lead statutory audits from planning through to completion.
- Act as primary client contact and manage on‑site audit teams.
- Review junior staff work, providing coaching and support.
- Collaborate closely with managers and partners.
- Utilise modern audit software to improve efficiency.
- Travel to client sites across the North East and Yorkshire.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Strong audit experience within practice, capable of leading audits with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented and client‑focused.
Required skills
- Sage, Xero or QuickBooks (desirable).
- Experience with Iris, Caseware or MyWorkPapers (desirable).
