Auditor – Public Sector (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Three Bridges Recruitment is supporting a major Glasgow‑based public sector body to recruit an Auditor on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will join a well‑regarded Internal Audit team, delivering high‑quality internal audit work across a variety of services, organisations and client areas.

Key responsibilities

• Develop internal audit terms of reference and testing programmes
• Plan and conduct audit fieldwork, including data‑matching exercises
• Record findings, evidence and conclusions
• Draft clear audit reports with practical recommendations
• Provide advice and guidance to senior officers and associated bodies
• Support audit trainees during fieldwork when required
• Participate in working groups, investigations and stakeholder engagements

Required profile

• Experienced auditor with a practical, hands‑on approach
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to see real‑world impact of recommendations
• Ability to deliver high‑quality internal audit work from planning through to reporting
• Comfortable working under the direction of an Audit Manager
