Autism Support Worker – SEN School – Brixton

About the role

Join a dynamic SEN school in Brixton as an Autism Support Worker, helping children with autism and complex needs thrive academically, socially and emotionally. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a supportive, well‑equipped environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Deliver engaging, personalised activities that promote learning.
• Encourage independence, confidence and life‑skill development.
• Help maintain a calm and positive classroom atmosphere.

Required profile

• Experience with or strong understanding of ASD and complex needs.
• Patient, empathetic and approachable.
• Confident working both one‑to‑one and within a classroom setting.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
• Passionate about supporting children with SEN.
• Valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
