Autism Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Temporary)

About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Autism Teaching Assistant to provide one‑to‑one support in a primary school in Newton‑le‑Willows. The position is full‑time, temporary and starts as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one assistance to an autistic pupil, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Support the delivery of the national curriculum under the guidance of the class teacher.
- Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in safeguarding training provided by the school.
Required profile
- Good knowledge of the national curriculum.
- Experience working with primary‑school children in a UK school setting or similar.
- Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent (preferred).
- Recent safeguarding training (desirable, with additional training provided).
Required skills
What we offer
- Minimum rate of £120 per day.
- Standard school hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
- Full‑time schedule (8 hours per day).
