Auto Electrician – Great Training & Overtime

About the role

We are seeking an Auto Electrician to join a market‑leading workshop in Exeter. You will work Monday‑to‑Friday (with optional weekend shifts) installing, inspecting and maintaining automotive electrical systems on specialist vehicles, while benefiting from extensive technical training and strong career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical installation, testing and commissioning on a range of vehicles.
• Carry out routine inspection and preventive maintenance of automotive electrics.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults to minimise vehicle downtime.
• Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Participate in voluntary weekend work and overtime as required.

Required profile

• Qualified Auto Electrician or highly skilled Mechanic with experience in vehicle electrics.
• Residency within a commutable distance to Exeter (e.g., Exmouth, Tiverton, Crediton, etc.).
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site and undertake overtime.

Required skills

• Auto electrical installation, maintenance and inspection.
• Knowledge of telematics, biometric controls, PLC, sensor systems, security systems and CCTV.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical schematics.
