About the role

Join Halfords' Service department in Bishop Auckland as an Autocare Technician Apprentice. You will receive hands‑on training on a wide range of vehicles, from classic models to modern hybrids, while supporting our commitment to first‑time fixes and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to confirm correct operation.
• Follow checklists to ensure comprehensive vehicle examinations.
• Carry out bumper‑to‑bumper overviews, services and inspections.
• Maintain electronic systems, including on‑board entertainment.
• Complete accurate paperwork for customers and centre records.
• Keep the work environment clean and tidy.

• Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Interest in automotive technology, including hybrid and electric vehicles.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
