Autocare Technician Apprenticeship – Farnham

About the role

Join Halfords as an Autocare Technician Apprentice at our Farnham garage. Over a 14‑16 month Level 2 apprenticeship you will gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of vehicle technologies, from traditional engines to hybrid and electric systems.

Key responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to examine all critical vehicle components.
• Carry out comprehensive service, inspection and bumper‑to‑bumper overviews.
• Maintain electronic systems, including on‑board entertainment.
• Complete accurate paperwork for customers and centre records.
• Keep the work environment clean and tidy.

Required profile

• Level 2 apprenticeship (14‑16 months) starting 1 September 2026.
• Full‑time, onsite work at Halfords garage in Farnham.

Required skills

• Diagnostic equipment operation.
• Testing and inspection of vehicle parts and systems.
• Electronic system maintenance.
• Accurate completion of service paperwork.
