About the role

Join Halfords as an Autocare Technician Apprentice in Liverpool and gain hands‑on experience across a wide range of vehicle technologies. You will work in a busy service department, learning to diagnose, service and repair cars while progressing through a structured apprenticeship programme.

Key responsibilities

• Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle faults.
• Test parts and systems to ensure correct operation.
• Follow checklists to examine all critical vehicle components.
• Carry out comprehensive service and inspection procedures.
• Maintain electronic systems, including on‑board entertainment.
• Complete accurate paperwork for customers and centre records.
• Keep the work environment clean and tidy.

Required profile

• Willingness to travel to a centrally located training facility for block‑release weeks.
• Commitment to complete the full apprenticeship programme.

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic equipment.
• Testing of parts and systems.
• Maintenance of electronic systems, including on‑board entertainment.
• Accurate completion of paperwork.
