Automatic Gate Engineer – South West England

About the role

We are seeking an Automatic Gate Engineer to join a growing team serving South West England and surrounding areas. The role is full‑time, permanent and involves travelling to multiple customer sites to install, service and maintain automated access solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, repair, fault‑find and maintain automated gates, barriers, bollards and access control systems.
• Cover a variety of manufacturers and product ranges across numerous sites.
• Ensure high‑quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates and technical advice.
• Support colleagues when required and contribute to team efficiency.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• At least three years’ experience in the gate and barrier industry is desirable but not mandatory.
• Positive attitude, self‑motivation and willingness to train in any discipline.

Required skills

• IPAF certification.
• CSCS or ECS card.
• DHF or Gate Safe certification.
• City & Guilds qualification.
