Automation Service Technician

About the role

Mecalux is seeking an Automation Service Technician to join its After‑Sales Department. You will support automated warehouse solutions by delivering software support, maintenance, and technical improvements across the product life‑cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Perform software support, preventative and corrective maintenance, warranty work and emergency responses.
• Supervise electrical and mechanical adjustments on automated equipment and conduct repairs.
• Analyse and diagnose electrical, mechanical and control issues, and track incidents, improvements and preventive maintenance.
• Quote, plan and execute after‑sales service jobs, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Manage technical documentation, manuals and third‑party service providers.
• Support ramp‑up phases of new automated warehouses and drive performance improvements.

Required profile

• Hard‑working, proactive, organized, methodical and dynamic.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking and attention to detail.
• Minimum 5 years experience in automation, after‑sales service, industrial maintenance or commissioning in the UK.
• Medium‑level education in automation, robotics or electronics (electrical bias preferred).
• Proven ability to interact with senior customer management on performance issues.
