AV Build Engineer (Entry Level)

About the role

Our client, a leading provider of audiovisual solutions, is seeking an entry‑level AV Build Engineer to support a specific project. You will work on installing, configuring and maintaining AV equipment, gaining hands‑on experience with the latest technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and racking of AV equipment such as projectors, sound systems and video‑conferencing devices.
• Run and terminate HDMI, Ethernet and USB cabling, and set up connections for displays.
• Perform troubleshooting and routine maintenance to ensure optimal system performance.
• Support senior engineers with system testing, configuration and quality assurance.
• Conduct site surveys to determine AV requirements and help design customised solutions.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of AV systems and components.
• Strong technical aptitude with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours and a valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Experience with HDMI, Ethernet and USB connections.
• Knowledge of cabling and racking practices.
