AV Engineer – Field Based (South England)

About the role

As a Field‑Based AV Engineer you will be the first point of contact for technical issues across Oxford, Southampton and surrounding locations. You will travel to client sites, install and upgrade audio‑visual systems, and ensure projects are delivered to Vivedia’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to on‑site technical issues and resolve them with care.
• Build strong relationships with venue staff, becoming their trusted technical contact.
• Lead installations, upgrades and rack builds, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Conduct site surveys to assess equipment needs and plan improvements.
• Train site personnel on daily operation and basic system functionality.
• Maintain and replenish AV kit in the company van, keeping it clean and road‑ready.
• Support AV events, ensuring smooth operation and high‑quality delivery.
• Collaborate with the creative team to test and deliver content in the correct formats.

Required profile

• Comfortable travelling across the South East region and staying away from home 1‑4 nights per week as required.
• Customer‑first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and make sound technical decisions.
