AV Technician

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AV Technician to join a market‑leading professional services client in central Edinburgh. The role is full‑time, permanent and based on‑site, supporting high‑quality meeting spaces, events and hybrid conferences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary on‑site AV support, preparing rooms, testing equipment and assisting users.
• Deliver seamless AV services for internal meetings, client events and hybrid video conferences (MS Teams, Zoom, Webex).
• Operate, configure and troubleshoot AV hardware including displays, microphones, speakers, control panels and video‑conferencing systems.
• Collaborate with Front of House, Facilities and IT teams to ensure rooms meet client specifications and support multi‑site events.
• Support live and recorded events, including streaming, media management and system roll‑outs.
• Develop and maintain AV best practices and stay updated with emerging technologies.
• Ensure meeting spaces are operational and business‑ready each day.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an AV Technician or similar role, preferably in a corporate or professional services environment.
• Calm, proactive attitude with strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with AV hardware and software.
• Knowledge of control systems such as Crestron and Extron.
• Familiarity with digital signage platforms.
• Experience with video‑conferencing platforms (MS Teams, Zoom, Webex).
