Avaloq Developer – Contract (Hybrid) – Glasgow

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Avaloq Developer to join a leading financial services organisation in Glasgow on a contract basis. You will design, develop and enhance solutions on the Avaloq platform, working in a hybrid environment and collaborating closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, customise and enhance applications within the Avaloq banking platform.
• Deliver high‑quality, scalable and maintainable software using Avaloq scripting and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and design effective technical solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support mission‑critical systems in a complex financial services environment.
• Ensure software complies with security, performance and quality standards.
• Create and maintain unit tests to guarantee reliability and stability.
• Contribute to Agile delivery practices and ongoing platform enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience developing and customising solutions within Avaloq.
• Hands‑on expertise with Avaloq scripting and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Experience supporting and enhancing complex, business‑critical applications.
• Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Solid knowledge of banking and financial services systems.
• Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery teams.
