Avionic Manager - Base Maintenance

About the role

As an Avionic Manager you will be responsible for the certification of maintenance and repairs on a range of Airbus rotorcraft, including the H125, H135, H145 and the new H160. You will ensure safe, continued operation of aircraft through technical leadership and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staff adherence to AHUK policy and engineering practice standards.
• Assist with production planning and scheduling.
• Supervise the battery workshop and other component work as approved.
• Liaise with Part 21 functions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Inspect and issue Form 1 certificates.
• Provide technical support to regional engineers and customers.
• Manage MGS and other associated maintenance software tools.

Required profile

• Excellent organisational, time‑management and leadership abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing working requirements.
• DBS Security Clearance and eligibility for SC clearance.
• Part 66 B2 licence with C certifying privileges (essential).
• Degree‑level qualification in an aircraft‑maintenance related field (desirable).

Required skills

• Part 66 B2 licence.
• Part 66 C licence.
• Type ratings for EC135, H135, EC145, H145 and H160.
• Knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
• UK CAA regulatory knowledge.
• Proficiency with MGS maintenance software.
