AVP/VP European CLO Trader – Structured Credit

About the role

Citi’s European Securitized Products Trading team is seeking an experienced AVP/VP to lead the CLO mezzanine and equity tranche trading book. Based in London, you will work at the centre of Europe’s record‑setting CLO issuance activity, generating revenue and shaping the franchise’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop a European CLO trading book focused on mezzanine and equity tranches.
• Execute trades, monitor risk positions, and meet budgeted revenue targets with disciplined risk management.
• Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors, CLO managers, and counterparties.
• Collaborate with Sales, Research, Structuring, and Securities Services to identify primary and secondary market opportunities.
• Lead governance and control processes in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Finance.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in structured credit, preferably within CLO trading.
• Proven ability to operate autonomously and engage directly with sophisticated institutional clients.
• Strong commercial judgment and a track record of delivering revenue growth.
• Excellent collaboration skills across Sales, Research, and Risk functions.
