AWS Cloud Architect – Multiple UK Cities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to join a leading technology consulting firm delivering complex, business‑critical projects for public‑sector and regulated clients across the UK. The role is based in London, Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle with a hybrid working model (three days on‑site per week) and requires security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure, scalable and resilient AWS‑based solutions that meet client business objectives.
• Define target architectures, platform capabilities and technical road‑maps for cloud migration and modernisation programmes.
• Lead small delivery teams or workstreams, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code, DevOps pipelines and cloud‑governance frameworks.
• Apply cloud security, governance and resilience controls in enterprise environments.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to provide architectural guidance and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering and transformation delivery.
• AWS Cloud Architecture certification (Associate or Professional level).
• Proven ability to shape architecture, advise clients and lead delivery teams.
• Residency in the UK for the past five years and eligibility for BPSS and SC clearance.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in AWS services and cloud‑native architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud security, governance and cost‑optimization.
• Ability to define technical road‑maps aligned with business objectives.
